The Department of History, Arts, and Cultural Heritage, University of Education, Lahore, organized a vibrant Welcome Party for the newly admitted 1st year BFA students hosted by the senior BFA students.

The event was formally inaugurated by Director DASS, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zahir, along with the Chairperson of the Department of History, Arts, and Cultural Heritage, Dr. Shumaila Firdous.

The occasion was further honoured by the gracious presence of Director DIOL, Prof. Dr. Waheed Ur Rehman, Chairperson, Department of English, Prof. Dr. Ahsan Bashir, Incharge Examination DASS, Dr. Jahanzaib Jahan, along with respected faculty members of the department.

Students from BFA Graphic Design and Painting warmly welcomed the freshmen and enthralled the audience with their creative and energetic performances, reflecting the artistic spirit, talent, and enthusiasm of the department.

The event fostered a sense of belonging, creativity, and academic camaraderie, making it a memorable beginning for the new students’ academic journey.

Today, a talk was organized by the Department of History, Arts and Cultural Heritage on the book “Explore Lahore” by Syed Faizan Abbas Naqvi, who is also known as Lahore Ka Khojji . Faizan has authored several books on regional history, with a special focus on the rich and layered history of Lahore. During the session, Faizan discussed his journey, personal observations, and the motivations that inspired him to explore Lahore’s heritage and document it through his writing. The session was moderated by Dr. Anam, while Chairperseon Dr. Shumaila and Director DASS Professor Dr. Muhammad Zahir highlighted the importance of preserving the past for future generations. The speakers also expressed their gratitude to the audience and faculty members who attended and contributed to the success of the book talk.

UE Hosts Pak–Türk Educational & Cultural Dialogue
The University of Education, Lahore, marked Türkiye’s Republic Day with an enlightening event titled “Pak–Türk Educational and Cultural Dialogue” under the theme “Bridging Hearts, Minds, and Future.” Chief Guest Mr. Mehmet Eymen Şimşek, Consul General of Türkiye, highlighted the enduring friendship and academic partnership between the two nations, while Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Aqif Anwar Chaudhry emphasized the vital role of global collaboration in advancing education and cultural understanding.
