Mechanical Engineering Department students planned, developed and executed the sale of their product brand Tropi Sip at VentureCon an entrepreneurship expo for students at The University of Lahore. The efforts were as part and requirements for the entrepreneurship course during Spring 2026.

An Alumni Mechanical Engineering Department success story of perseverance and resilience.

Engineer Muhammad Saleem Batch 2020-24 has been successfully promoted to Mechanical Engineer from Technician at Wartsila which is a Multinational Corporation of Finland operating Power Plants in Pakistan.

Engineer Muhammad Saleem completed his DAE Mechanical in 2008. He started job in industry and continued his engineering studies financing it from his earnings. He maintained work, life and study balance to achieve his goals for success.

ASME Water Bottle Rocket Competition was successfully organized by Mechanical Engineering Department of The University of Lahore.

Around 14 teams competed for the top three positions creating innovative design and aesthetics with neatness. The performance tests were also conducted to evaluate the rocket.

A fun activity enabling learning outside the classroom and hands on experimental learning was appreciated by all students and faculty.

ASME Water Bottle Rocket Competition held at AstroTurf Ground of The University of Lahore.

Around 14 teams designed and produced their Water Bottle Rocket which were tested for performance.

An energetic and hands on experimental learning experience was created by the efforts of ASME UOL Chapter.

Industrial Visit to MecaTech Pvt Ltd was conducted by Mechanical Engineering Department of The University of Lahore for Batch 2023 students. The industrial visit was part of the HVAC Course requirements which was beneficial for technical knowledge and exposure for the students.

Mechanical Engineering Department students visited prominent manufacturing industrial organizations such as DESCON, IKAN, FABCON, MECAIR, MECAS and others.

The University of Lahore extends its gratitude to them for their support and facilitation towards student learning. The academia industry linkage is a key foundation of the Mechanical Engineering Program.

The visits were conducted as coursework requirements for the Instrumentation and Measurement Course. The industrial liaison office personal Engr Tauqeer Ahmad and Engr Naveed Mustafa supported the endeavor and facilitated the activity.

Mechanical Engineering Department Graduates attended the 17th Convocation at The University of Lahore.

Ashar Amjad (Gold Medalist), Shayan Mohyuddin (Silver Medalist), Suhaib Ahmed (Bronze Medalist) received their position medals. Other students present were Umer Javed, Usama Aslam, Adil Mirza, Ehsan Qadeer, Abdul Rahman. Congratulations to the students on getting their degrees after hard work and dedication.
