We are proud to highlight the international journey of Rao Usama, an undergraduate student from the School of Computer & IT (SCIT). With the support of the BNU Office of Academic Partnerships, Usama recently participated in an exchange program at Yaşar University, Turkey.

Reflecting on his experience, Usama shared:

“Nobody tells you that a semester abroad does not just change where you are - It also changes who you are.

Studying in Türkiye as an exchange student has been one of the best decisions of my life. Izmir surprised me. I expected Turkey but got something closer to Europe — modern, coastal, and full of energy. The city has a vibe that is hard to describe until you actually live in it.

Turks are genuinely warm and welcoming, especially towards Pakistanis. I arrived at Yaşar University not knowing a single person. By the next day, I knew everyone. That says everything about the kind of environment this place has.

Yaşar University has been great academically, too. Strong education, amazing extracurriculars, and an environment that pushes you to grow in every direction.

I am grateful to my university for this opportunity. I would like to sincerely thank my entire faculty of SCIT, and especially Sir Umar Imam and Sir Nabeel, who played a huge role in making this possible for me. Their support and guidance throughout the process meant more than I can put into words. This semester has shaped me in ways I will carry long after I return home.”

Beaconhouse National University (BNU) has taken a decisive step forward by entering into a strategic industry-academia collaboration with Pikes Soft, reinforcing its commitment to bridging academic rigor with real-world technological demands. Through this partnership, BNU will integrate industry-led seminars, co-supervised final year projects, and structured mentorship on coding standards and workflows into its software disciplines. Eligible students will benefit from internship-to-recruitment pathways, while faculty will gain hands-on exposure to contemporary development practices during summer visits. This partnership underscores BNU's proactive approach to enhancing graduate employability and curriculum relevance through sustained industry engagement.

On April 9, 2026, Beaconhouse National University (BNU) and International Baccalaureate Pakistan (IBPAK Association) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen the educational landscape for students across the country. This partnership is a significant milestone for the IB Career-related Programme (CP) in Pakistan, creating a pathway that equips students with both academic foundations and specialized career-ready skills. As this qualification is increasingly recognized by universities worldwide, the collaboration ensures CP graduates are well prepared to move into higher education with the practical skills and intellectual rigor needed for modern professional success.

On April 15, a delegation from the Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan (AKES,P) visited Beaconhouse National University (BNU) to explore potential collaboration in education and academic outreach.

Building on their shared commitment to student development and access for underprivileged students, BNU and AKES,P have agreed to consider a shared model for education provision. This includes awareness sessions for AKES,P students on BNU’s academic programs, admissions, and student life, supported by BNU’s scholarship commitments.

AKES,P students will also have the opportunity to visit BNU’s campus, explore academic departments, attend orientation sessions, and interact with faculty and students.

Both institutions have agreed to formalize this collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding. We look forward to a collaboration that expands access to quality higher education and fosters cross-institutional synergy.

We are proud to highlight the international journey of Aroob Shafiq Malik, an undergraduate student from the School of Media and Mass Communication. With the support of the BNU Office of Academic Partnerships, Aroob recently participated in an exchange program at Kadir Has University, Turkey.

Reflecting on her experience, Aroob shared:

"This semester has been one of the most enriching and exciting experiences of my academic journey so far. Studying in an international environment has allowed me to engage with diverse perspectives on media, communication, and storytelling while connecting with students from different cultures and backgrounds. Beyond academics, this experience has been deeply transformative, helping me grow both personally and professionally while broadening my understanding of the global media landscape. I am sincerely grateful to my HOD, Ms. Rabia Noor, for her constant support and guidance throughout this journey, and to the Academic Partnerships Office for making this opportunity possible. This exchange has been truly memorable and is something I will carry with me long after my time here concludes."

We are proud to highlight the international journey of Syed Awab, an undergraduate student from the School of Management Sciences (SMS). With the support of the BNU Office of Academic Partnerships, Awab recently participated in the 2+1 Program at Rennes School of Business, France.

Reflecting on his experience, Awab shared:

"Going on a degree pathway program from BNU to Rennes School of Business, France, was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had. After spending two years at BNU, I had the opportunity to complete my final year in Rennes, where I will also receive my diploma. Living in France made it even better; the lifestyle, the culture, the food, and even the pace of life were all amazing. Rennes is such a student-friendly city, and it was easy to feel comfortable and settled there.

At first, moving abroad and adapting to a new system felt a bit intimidating, but it quickly turned into something really exciting. I met people from all over the world, improved my independence, and became much more open-minded. Academically, it was also interesting to experience a different teaching style.

The Office of Academic Partnerships was really helpful throughout the whole process. They were always easy to reach and ready to help whenever I had questions. They make everything much easier to understand.

I’d really encourage anyone to take this opportunity, especially in France. It’s not just about studying it’s about enjoying a whole new way of life, and it’s something you’ll always remember."
