Department of Biology organized an exciting industrial visit to AB Mauri for our students from Biotechnology, Microbiology, and Nutrition & Dietetics. This visit provided a valuable hands-on learning experience, allowing students to see how biotechnology and food science come to life in the real world.

Students explored industrial fermentation, yeast production, and microbial quality control, observing how modern food biotechnology is practiced at an industrial scale. They also learned about essential safety protocols, product formulation, and the scientific processes behind food manufacturing.

Throughout the visit, students engaged in interactive discussions and Q&A sessions with industry experts, helping them connect their classroom knowledge with real-world applications. The exposure not only enhanced their understanding but also inspired them to pursue careers in biotechnology, microbiology, nutrition, and related industries.

We extend our sincere thanks to AB Mauri for their warm hospitality, and to Lahore Garrison University for continuously supporting such exposure opportunities and strengthening our industry linkages.

The Department of Biology organized an insightful academic visit to the Veterinary Research Institute (VRI) for our Microbiology students. This visit offered a rare and valuable opportunity to understand the scientific processes behind vaccine development and the research that supports health in Pakistan.

During the visit, students explored the various stages of vaccine production—from pathogen isolation and attenuation to formulation, quality testing, and safety evaluation. They observed how microbial techniques are applied in real-world vaccine manufacturing, linking their theoretical knowledge with practical industrial workflows.

The team at VRI guided students through laboratories, explained biosafety practices, and discussed the importance of research-based vaccine development in controlling infectious diseases. Interactive Q&A sessions helped students understand emerging challenges, modern technologies, and future opportunities in microbiology and immunology.
The visit proved to be an inspiring experience, broadening students’ perspective on applied microbiology and strengthening their understanding of how vaccines are developed to protect both animal and public health.

Department of Biology – Lahore Garrison University (LGU), Lahore proudly organized a one-Day AIDS Awareness Seminar in collaboration with the Punjab AIDS Control Program, Government of Punjab, in commemoration of "World AIDS Day 2025".

The seminar focused on raising awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention, early diagnosis, and the importance of eliminating stigma through education and community engagement. Such initiatives reflect LGU’s commitment to public health awareness and social responsibility.

Lahore Garrison University observed Breast Cancer Awareness Day on 30th October 2025 as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, reaffirming its commitment to empowering lives through awareness and education.
