Department of Biology organized an exciting industrial visit to AB Mauri for our students from Biotechnology, Microbiology, and Nutrition & Dietetics. This visit provided a valuable hands-on learning experience, allowing students to see how biotechnology and food science come to life in the real world.
Students explored industrial fermentation, yeast production, and microbial quality control, observing how modern food biotechnology is practiced at an industrial scale. They also learned about essential safety protocols, product formulation, and the scientific processes behind food manufacturing.
Throughout the visit, students engaged in interactive discussions and Q&A sessions with industry experts, helping them connect their classroom knowledge with real-world applications. The exposure not only enhanced their understanding but also inspired them to pursue careers in biotechnology, microbiology, nutrition, and related industries.
