Speech Competition (13/09/2023)

The NFC Institute of Engineering and Technology Multan hosted a captivating speech competition on September 13, 2023, with the thought-provoking theme "Pakistan's Global Responsibilities."

The former foreign minister of Pakistan, the honourable Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, was invited to the event as the distinguished chief guest by the honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Malik Akhtar Ali Kalrou. The honourable Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani (former prime minister of Pakistan), Syed Murad Ali Shah (former chief minister of Sindh), Syed Ali Musa Gillani (former MNA), Syed Ali Qasim Gillani, Syed Ali Haider Gillani, and Ms. Natasha Daultana were among the notable guests who attended the event.

Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari commended NFC-IET Multan and its administration for their unflagging commitment and hailed it as a shining example for the entire country. Concluding the event, Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari presented awards to the speech competition winners, underlining the institute's crucial influence on conversations about Pakistan's obligations outside of academic achievements.

The 76th Independence Day celebration at NFC-IET Multan was a significant event, where the honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Malik Akhtar Ali Kalrou, addressed the audience illuminating the historical route to freedom and the sacrifices made by our ancestors during the country's collective struggle for independence.

The event was enriched by the remarkable contributions of our talented students. They captivated the audience with their incredible performances, including skits, short plays, and stirring renditions of the national anthem. These engaging performances showcased not only their talent but also their dedication to the values and ideals that define our institution.

In conclusion, this event showed how we, as a university community, come together with passion and dedication for a promising and successful future.

• NFC-IET Sports Gala 2023 •

We are proud to announce the successful conclusion of NFC-IET Sports Gala 2023.

The event was a celebration of athleticism, sportsmanship, and camaraderie, and we were delighted to see so many of you participate and support your fellow students.

At NFC-IET, we believe in the power of sports to bring people together, promote healthy lifestyles, and build strong communities. • CALENDAR LAUNCHING CEREMONY •

A Calender Launching Ceremony at NFC-IET Multan was held on January 25, 2023, in the VC Secretariat where The Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Malik Akhtar Ali Kalrou appreciated the efforts of DSA team and acknowledged students who designed the 2023 calendar on behalf of the university.

Worthy Registrar Engr. Nasrullah Khan Babar, Respected Treasurer Muhammad Maghfoor Anwer, Incharge Admissions Dr. Omer Ali, DSA Dr. Maham Hussain, DDSA Mr. Hammad Raza Sahoo and Focal persons Mr. Haroon Ahmad Chughtai, Mr. Mohibullah and MS Mehwish also graced the event.

• NFC-IET CS Sports Fest’22 •

On January 19, 2023, under the supervision of DSA, the award ceremony for the NFC-IET CS Sports Fest'22 was conducted. The sporting event was inaugurated on December 9, 2022 in the department of Computer Science, under the direction of Mr. Mohib Ullah Khan, the sports in-charge.

The series of events was carried out after Dr. Naeem Aslam (HOD of Computer Science), Ms. Maham Hussain (DSA), and the Chairman of the Sports Committee all gave their assent. The VC Secretariat's committee room served as the venue for the ceremony.

December 9, 2022 marked the beginning of the sporting events, which continued through December 16, 2022 and concluded on December 23,2022. The event's key organizers and winning teams received awards from the VC, who also commended them for their accomplishments. In this manner, the series of sporting activities came to a conclusion, and the award ceremony signaled its conclusion.

NFC-IET organised a walk on February 5, 2023, to demonstrate its unwavering support for the oppressed Kashmiris’ righteous struggle to exercise their unalienable right to self-determination.

The honourable vice chancellor, Professor Dr. Malik Akhtar Ali Kalrou, addressed the professors, staff, and students, emphasizing the significance of supporting the cause. The students took an active part and weighed in with support of the sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people as well as their rights.

• ICPSE-2022 •

ICPSE-2022, the 2nd International Conference on Physical Sciences and Engineering, was held from December 14–16, 2022 at Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT). The multi-disciplinary conference attracted abstracts, research articles, and posters from various engineering domains.

A total of 7 groups from various departments of NFC-IET Multan participated in poster competition to present their research work. The conference chair accoladed the scope of the research topics, design and presentation of the posters, as well as the presentation skills of the participants.

Furthermore, the students working under the supervision of Dr. Omer Ali (Electrical Engineering department) received the 1st prize award for presenting the best poster at ICPSE-2022.

• Breast Cancer Awareness Session •

On December 5, 2022, in the BMET Auditorium at NFC-IET, Multan, a Breast Cancer Awareness Session was commemorated. The keynote speaker, Dr. Hina Ilyas stressed during the session how early detection and preventive measures might result in complete recovery. She recommended modifying one's lifestyle to incorporate daily exercise in order to help reduce the risk of developing the disease. She further strongly advised that any woman over 40 undergo a mammography at least once a year.

Dr. Ilyas addressed the fallacies surrounding breast cancer and clarified that men can also develop the disease. To help lower the chance of breast cancer, she advised making lifestyle modifications that included daily exercise.

After a thorough discussion about the disease, its early indicators, and the journey through treatment, the session was concluded with a presentation of souvenirs to the guest speaker.
