British University College Network was founded by Arif Anis & M A Jahangir with the vision to make a difference in the educational landscape in South Punjab. BUCN was the pioneer institute to design and initiate courses such as Certificate of Proficiency in English, Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults and Fashion Design. BUCN trained 11 divisional and public schools and more than 3,
000 teachers in public and private sector. BUCN is run under the social welfare ethos by the Better World Foundation, Pakistan. BUCN has the honour to train huge public organisations such Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, MDA, Bahauddin Zakariya University and Punjab Educations Foundation. More than 7500 students alone achieved top band and scores in IELTS/TOEFL/GRE/GMAT/SAT and now studying in the top international institution. BUCN also executed Access to English Program in coordination with US State Department and Better World Foundation. BUCN was instrumental in organising international conference on 'Dilaogue Among Civilisations' in 2006 and 'Education, Extremism & Rehabilitation' in 2010. Its Board of Governors includes prestigious names in education, business, community services and politics, i.e. Sheikh Ahsan Rashid, Generl Saeed-ul-Zafar, Shah Mahmood Qureshi , Syed Fakhar Imam, Dr. Hameed Raza Siddiqui, Senator Jamal Lughari, Syed Mujtaba Gilani & Dr. Simon O'Connell. BUCN boasts of its excellent faculty of academics and practitioners currently led by Dr. Hameed Raza Siddiqui, M A Jahangir, Faisal Rehman, Daniyal Siddiqui, Nasir Malik and Afshan Baig. High achievers in public and private sector worked in collaboration with BUCN and acknowledged the experience. BUCN and International Multigroup of Companies (IMGC) joined hands in 2011 to promote the mission and vision of BUCN and become a private sector university in the next five years. BUCN is starting its College Division for boys and girls on a massive scale in Multan in 2011.
