I bow my head in gratitude to the Almighty who has given us the opportunity and the means through the Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust to bring a life changing improvement in the lives of children born with cleft lip, poor families with the sole breadwinner afflicted with Hepatitis C and families who can least afford treatment whose members fall victim to deadly diseases which require expensive treatment. The hospital established by the Bakhtawar Amin Medical Trust in 2008 has now grown into a modern 500 bed teaching hospital with a focus on providing first class health care to those in need, either free or at affordable cost. None of these developments would have been possible without the unflinching support of the Trustees and donors. I feel privileged to place on record my deepest appreciation and gratitude to them. I would also like to welcome the next 100 medical students to the Bakhtawar Amin Medical & Dental College, with prayers that this would be the beginning for you, of a glorious and rewarding career in medicine.

On behalf of the Board of Governors, Principal. Faculty, Medical Consultants, executives and staff of the BAMDC as well as the Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital. I would like to welcome you as medical students to the BAMDC family, where we shall do our best to make your dreams come true. Upon the launching of the College we had declared a firm resolve to aim for excellence in the academic and clinical training program provided by us. I am happy to state that we have delivered on this commitment, for which the credit goes to our highly professional and dedicated faculty, a group of educators and clinicians who would be the envy of any institution. On account of the commitment of the Trustees and the hard work and professionalism of the college faculty, the BAMDC has progressed rapidly from relative anonymity to perhaps the finest medical schools in the private sector in South Punjab. We remain committed to continuing this journey towards even greater excellence.

Pharmacy
Spacious pharmacy store is available round the clock for OPD, IPD and walk in patients. Computerized inventory and billing system with all latest medicine are available in the store for the use of patients who are prescribed medicines by the Bakhtawar Amin doctors. The central Pharmacy procures drugs and equipment from manufacturers through the distributors. Qualified pharmacists supervise the pharmacy at each step. The Pharmacy is connected to the Pharmacology department headed by the pharmacology HOD with the facilities of Pharmacopoeias, National Formularies, important text books & journals.

OUR OPERATION THEATER
OPERATION THEATER
Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Hospital is fully equipped with state of the art Operation Theaters (OTs). A wide range of highly qualified specialist / surgeons and trained staff are attending operation list of a number of patients day and night. Following areas of surgery are being successfully attended.
General Surgery provides support service to the other departments like gastric surgery and minimally invasive keyhole surgery, laproscopy. Endoscopy etc.

Nursing
Nurses at Bakhtawar Amin are an essential part of the medical team, helping to ensure that the patient is well cared for. They are friendly, calm and efficient. They work closely with the Doctor, providing assistance throughout a patient’s stay. Assisting the doctors in a wide range of procedures, and ensuring that proper instruments and equipment are available, to cleaning and sterilizing the used instruments.

DR. MUHAMMAD ASLAM ABBASI
HEAD OF PHYSIOLOGY DEPARTMENT
Dr. Muhammad Aslam Abbasi MBBS, M. Phil physiology is professor and head of physiology department. He has solid educational foundation and involved in medical education for nearly three decades. He is adept in academic evaluations, and plans being an examiner and member of board of studies in national universities of Pakistan. He has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and is Due to his ability to work effectively as part of a team he is proficient in interdepartmental coordination. He possesses a combination of technical expertise and strong problem-solving skills. As an efficient medical teacher, he is certainly a valuable addition to this organization.

DR. KHALIL AHMED SHAHID
HEAD OF THE COMMUNITY MEDICINE DEPARTMENT
Dr Khalil Ahmed Shahid, MBBS (Punjab), MCPS, M. Sc. is Associate Professor and Head of the Community Medicine department. He completed his MBBS in 1989, from Quaid-e-Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur. He did his MCPS (Community Medicine) from College of Physician & Surgeons Pakistan in 2008. He has also done M. Sc. in 2010. He has worked as HOD Sahiwal Medical College, Sahiwal in 2012. Worked as Associate Professor, Islam Medical College, Sialkot up to 2015. 10 Research Papers published in PM&DC recognized Journal. He is paper Assessor and External Examiner in UHS and SZABU University, Islamabad. He is also coordinator of different programs of WHO.
Community medicine is the field concerned with the study of health and disease in the defined community. Its goal is to identify the health problems and needs of people (community diagnosis) and to plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of health care system.
