Students of the School of Law, Multan University of Science and Technology (MUST), Multan, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mirza Khurram Baig, Head of Department, MUST School of Law and Mr.Waqas Ahmad AP MUST School of Law, visited the District Bar Association Multan and the District & Sessions Courts Multan for practical legal exposure and professional learning.
The delegation was warmly received by Syeda Bushra Naqvi President District Bar Association Multan, along with Malik Saadat Hussain (General Secretary), Amara Tahir Baloch (Library Secretary), Rauf Khan Malazai (Finance Secretary), and Jahanzeb Sial (Editor). Their gracious hospitality and valuable interaction made the visit highly enriching for the students.
During the visit, students explored the Bar Room, Bar Library, President’s Office, General Secretary’s Office, and various courtrooms to observe judicial proceedings and understand the practical functioning of the legal system. The interaction with distinguished members of the Bar provided valuable insights into advocacy, legal ethics, courtroom decorum, legal research culture, and professional legal practice.
The visit proved to be a highly informative, inspiring, and professionally rewarding experience, effectively bridging academic learning with the realities of courtroom advocacy and legal practice.

The session offered law students a practical and insightful understanding of mooting, courtroom advocacy, legal reasoning, and professional legal practice. Drawing upon their extensive experience in civil litigation, UK immigration and asylum law, and practice before the Royal Courts of Justice, the esteemed speakers shared valuable real-world perspectives that greatly inspired aspiring lawyers.
Miss Alisha Shaikh, a specialist Immigration and Asylum Lawyer practicing in the United Kingdom, alongside Miss Hira Shaikh and Miss Aisha Nizamuddin Shaikh, emphasized the significance of advocacy skills, legal drafting, confidence building, and critical thinking in the professional journey of a successful lawyer.
Students actively engaged throughout the session and benefited immensely from the practical guidance, professional experiences, and motivational insights shared by the guest speakers.

Aisha has served at the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in the United Kingdom, a key judicial body handling immigration and asylum appeals, where she gained valuable experience as an in-house lawyer dealing with complex legal matters.

Hira has worked at the prestigious Royal Courts of Justice, handling small to multi-track money claims, bankruptcy matters, child custody issues, and a wide range of civil cases, reflecting her strong and diverse legal background.

On the invitation of Multan University of Science and Technology (MUST), Malik Muhammad Latif Khokhar Advocate Supreme court of Pakistan delivered a comprehensive and constructive lecture on the topic of "Law of Writs" to the students of the School of Law. Upon his arrival, the distinguished guest received an excellent reception from the university administration and faculty.
The event was meticulously organized under the guidance and directions of worthy Chairman BOG Dr Muhammad Arshad Sb which provided an invaluable learning opportunity for law students. The lecture significantly enhanced the students' understanding of writ jurisdiction, constitutional remedies as fundamental Rights and procedural aspects of writ petitions under Constitution of Pakistan.
Following the session, the university administration arranged a comprehensive campus visit for the guests to familiarize them with the institution's academic facilities and infrastructure.
At the conclusion of the event, Prof.Dr. Mirza Khurram Baig HOD School of Law presented a commemorative shield to Mr. Malik Muhammad Latif Khokhar as a token of appreciation. The ceremony concluded with a group photograph featuring the guest speaker, faculty and students.

🎓 Meet Our Faculty | Mr. Shanawar Iqbal Chughtai
Advocate High Court | Legal Consultant

We are pleased to introduce Mr. Shanawar Iqbal Chughtai, a seasoned legal practitioner and academic with over a decade of professional experience in advocacy and legal consultancy.

He holds an LL.M in Comparative Commercial Law from BPP University, London, and an M.A in Criminology from Kingston University, UK, bringing an international academic perspective to legal education. As an Advocate High Court, he has successfully represented clients in constitutional, civil, criminal, family, corporate, and human rights matters, including appellate and writ jurisdiction.

Alongside legal practice, Mr. Chughtai serves as a visiting faculty member at Gillani Law College, BZU Multan, where he teaches Administrative Law, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Civil Law, and International Humanitarian Law. His teaching approach bridges courtroom practice with academic theory, equipping students with practical insight and critical legal reasoning.
