3rd Meeting of the Institutional Quality Circle (IQC) held at Islamia College Peshawar on January 06, 2026
The 3rd meeting of the Institutional Quality Circle (IQC) was held under the auspices of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), Islamia College Peshawar, and was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ahmad-ur-Rahman Saljoqi. The meeting was attended by Heads of Departments, Heads of Sections and Principal ICP.
During the session, Prof. Dr. Izhar Ahmad, Director QEC, briefed the forum on the revised QA framework, PSG 2023, mandate and functions of the IQC, recent institutional developments, priority targets and task allocation across various sections. The discussion emphasized embedding a culture of quality at all levels of the institution, ensuring that quality assurance and continuous improvement remain shared institutional responsibilities.

▪ Overview of the Pakistan Precepts, Standards & Guidelines (PSG-2023) QA Framework
▪ Review of the QEC Annual Activity Calendar 2025
▪ Examination of Compliance Implementation Plans for RIPE (2024–25) and Graduate Program Review (GPR) (2024–25)
▪ Initiation of the Self-Assessment Process under PREE Standards (PSG-2023)
▪ Sharing of key takeaways from the 3-day QAA-HEC training workshop on the revised QA framework held at CECOS University Peshawar.
The Vice Chancellor reaffirmed a zero-tolerance policy towards quality compromise, stressing strict adherence to approved policies and timely compliance with all quality parameters. He underscored the responsibility of Heads of Departments for the accurate and timely submission of Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) in accordance with new PREE standards issued by QAA, HEC, reinforcing the institution’s commitment HEC's guidelines, accountability and academic excellence.
