📢 HEC has deferred the implementation of ETC-conducted GRE/HAT-General (Level 7) and GRE/HAT-Subject (Level 8) admissions tests from Fall 2026 to Fall 2027, following requests from universities/DAIs for additional implementation time.

Fall 2026 admissions will continue under the existing admission criteria.

📢 IMS – University of Balochistan Conducts Hands-on Faculty Training Workshop on Outcome-Based Education

IMS-University of Balochistan, Quetta successfully organized a hands-on faculty development workshop on “Aligning PLOs, CLOs, Strategies & Assessment” at the IMS HBL Seminar Room.

The session was conducted by educationist Dr. Nadia Ali, who shared valuable insights on Outcome-Based Education (OBE), effective course alignment, assessment strategies, and practical approaches to strengthen student learning outcomes.

The interactive workshop provided IMS faculty members with practical understanding and skills for aligning:
• Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
• Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs)
• Teaching Strategies
• Assessment Methods

The session emphasized the importance of constructive alignment in enhancing academic quality, teaching effectiveness, and student-centered learning.

🎉 IMS Student Secures 1st Position at Provincial Business Competition

The Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), University of Balochistan congratulates Mr. Ameer Hamza, our BBA 5th Semester student and incubatee of the BIC - University of Balochistan, on securing 1st Position in the Business Idea Competition during the two-day “Balochistan Business Skill Competition” organized under the Balochistan Youth Socio-Economic Development Program (BYSEDP) by the Directorate of Youth Affairs Balochistan.

📢 Orientation Session for Newly Inducted MS & PhD Scholars at IMS

IMS-University of Balochistan, Quetta organized an orientation session for the newly admitted MS and PhD scholars (Spring 2026 Session). Dr. Fauzia Ahmed Sheikh (Coordinator MS/PhD Programs) delivered a comprehensive and detailed briefing covering academic policies, program structure, research requirements, and institutional rules and regulations. The session aimed to equip scholars with a clear understanding of expectations and academic responsibilities throughout their graduate journey.

The event was further enriched by the presence of Prof. Dr. Zainab Bibi (Dean Faculty of Management and Information Sciences), Dr. Kaneez Fatima (Director-IMS) and Dr.Muhammad Shafiq (HoD- Commerce department). The session was attended by the Dean, Faculty of Management & Informational Sciences, Prof Dr. Zainab Bibi, Director-IMS, Dr. Kaneez Fatima, faculty members, and a large number of students.

The NBP delegation included Muhammad Anwar Saleem (Incharge Advances), Syed Qarneen Akhtar Shah (Branch Manager NBP BMC Br.), Abid Ali (Branch Manager), and Muhammad Rafiq Rind (Regional Executive – Assets).

During the session, students were provided with detailed insights into:
