15th CONVOCATION

The UET Taxila is holding its Fifteenth Convocation in the third week of January-2016 for the graduates of Affiliated Institutes. Following graduates will be eligible for receiving Degrees/Medals: -

a) The graduates of 2010 & 2011 Entries who have completed their degree requirements up to 10-11-2015 and the graduates from previous entries who have completed their degrees upto 10-11-2015.
Note: For detailed information the graduates are directed to contact their respective Institutions.

The medals will be awarded to the graduates on the basis of overall best performance in their Degree Programmes.

Note:
The graduates who have received their degrees before Convocation will not be allowed.
Only those graduates who have already confirmed their participation with or without guests and have not received their degrees will be allowed to attend the 15th Convocation.
Students can check any update regarding 15th Convocation from UET, Taxila web site i.e. www.uettaxila.edu.pk

Only those graduates will be allowed to attend the ceremony who will attend the Rehearsal and obtain their entry cards. Invitation cards for guests will also be issued on the day of rehearsal.
The Convocation robes will be provided by the contractor on payment of Rs. 1000/- as rent-cum-security on the day of rehearsal. The security will be refunded on return of the robes after deducting the rent after the 15th Convocation ceremony.
To attend the rehearsal and obtain the entry cards/invitation cards for the guests, the graduates are required to bring with them the following documents:
1. Provisional Certificate (One attested photocopy)
2. Computerized National Identity Card (Original with one attested photocopy)
3. Two recent photographs (With Registration No and Name on Reverse)
The graduates may note that they will not be allowed to attend the Convocation if:
1. They do not take part in the Rehearsal.
2. They do not obtain the Entry Card.
3. They do not wear the Convocation Robe.
4. They do not have with them, their Computerized National Identity Card and
5. They do not reach the Convocation Place in Time.
Warning:
The graduates are directed to behave properly during the ceremony. In case of any behavior not suitable for the grace of the ceremony, the degree is liable to be cancelled / withheld.

Admission Criteria BSc
The application along with the required documents should be submitted in the admission office.
As the process of selection complete, the merit list will be notified showing the percentage of the applicants admitted in different disciplines against different categories.
All documents to be attached with the Application Form should be attested by a Class-1 Gazetted officer of the government.
Contact to Admission Officer in case of any query during working hours.
Documents Required
An applicant must exercise great care in ensuring that his application form is submitted accompanied by the required documents. An application shall stand rejected if any of the required documents is missing. No document shall be accepted after the last date for receipt of applications. The documents required from applicants for different categories are summarized bellow.(Attested Copies required)
Certificate of Secondary School Examination (SSC): Detailed Marks Certificate
Degree, Diploma or Certificate of examination on the basis of which admission is sought (i.e F.Sc, B.Sc, DAE etc). Result cards issued by the board/university are acceptable. Provisional Certificate in place of Degree/Diploma will not be accepted.

Domicile Certificate.

Eligibility for Admission
Admission Requirements:

An applicant for admission to B.Sc. Degree Course in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Telecommunication, must fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
He should have passed the intermediate pre engg Examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry form a board of intermediate and secondary Education of Pakistan or an equivalent examination so recognized by the university.
He should have passed the examination (up to the latest annual examination) on the basis of which he seeks admission.
He should have obtained at least 60% marks in examination on the basis of which he seeks admission.
He should be a bonafide resident of the area form where he seeks admission.
He should meet standards of physique and eyesight laid down in the medical certificate.
He should have appeared in the Entry Test for the respective Session arranged by the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore with the Combination (English, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/Computer Science) or take the entry test organized by the college.

Equivalent Examination:

The university (UET Taxila with which SCET is affiliated) recognizes the following examinations as equivalent to the Intermediate (Pre- Engg) Examination with Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics of the Pakistani Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education.
Intermediate (Pre-engineering) Examination of the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Azad Kashmir.
Cambridge Overseas Higher school certificate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics;
British General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics;
F.Sc. (Pre-medical) with Mathematics as an additional subject.
American High School Graduation Diploma (HSG Diploma)
An equivalent certificate of diploma accepted by IBCC (Inter Board Chairmen Committee).

Eligibility for Diploma Holders:

For admission of applicants holding the Diploma of Associate Engineer, he should have passed the diploma examination form the respective provincial Boards of Technical Education, in the relevant technology, obtaining not less than 60% marks.

Provisions about admission on the basis of a B.Sc. Degree:
Given the qualification and restrictions stated below, a person is eligible for admission to the Bachelor’s Degree courses at the University on the basis of a degree of Bachelor of Science.
A person possessing a B.Sc. Degree is NOT eligible for admission to any Bachelors Degree course at the university unless he has also passed the F.Sc. Pre-engineering or Pre-Medical Examination.

Scope of Eligibility for B.Sc. with F.Sc. (Pre-Engineering):
For admission the B.Sc courses in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Telecommunication Engineering an applicant must have passed the B.Sc Examination with Physics and Mathematics.
