Political Science Department, University of Turbat Organizes Field Visit to District Administrative Offices in Kech
The Department of Political Science, University of Turbat, organized an educational field visit for BS 5th Semester students to various district administrative departments in Kech (Turbat) as part of its academic curriculum. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to the working of government institutions and to strengthen their understanding of governance and public administration.
During the visit, students toured the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Office, Turbat, where they were briefed on the organizational structure and key public services provided by the district administration. The students were informed about the role of the DC Office in managing administrative affairs and addressing public issues in the district.
The students also visited the District Police Office (DPO), Kech, where DPO Mr. Lal Jan Sahib delivered a comprehensive presentation regarding the structure, functions, and initiatives of the police department. The session provided students with insights into law enforcement mechanisms and public safety responsibilities.
At the Accounts Office, the Accounts Officer Mr. Sadam Baloch welcomed the students and provided an overview of the department’s responsibilities, including financial administration and management of government accounts.
Furthermore, the students visited the Local Government Office, where officials briefed them on the office’s role in municipal administration, public service delivery, and local governance. The Office of the Chief Officer and Mayor of Turbat City extended a warm welcome and facilitated the briefing session.
The faculty and students expressed their gratitude to DC Kech Mr. Basheer Ahmed Badech for his support and facilitation of the visit. They also acknowledged ADC Revenue Mr. Asadullah Baloch for providing valuable career counseling and guidance to the students. Special appreciation was extended to PA to DC Mr. Sher Jan Sahib for his continuous coordination and assistance throughout the visit.
The Department stated that such visits play a vital role in enhancing students’ understanding of administrative systems by linking classroom learning with real-world practices. The visit was described as a valuable learning experience, helping students develop a deeper appreciation for the functioning of public institutions and their role in governance.
