Students from TP’s Big Data & Analytics and Immersive Media & Game Development courses had a special visit to Oracle’s AI Customer Experience Centre, where they got a taste of technology, data and racing in action.

👀 Usually, you’ll spot them making decisions, leading meetings, and shaping the future of TP. On 14 August, we saw a different side of our Senior Management team.

📚 For a few hours, they swapped leadership roles for learner roles, stepping into the classroom to explore the foundations of Agentic AI. Asking questions, engaging in discussions, and embracing new ideas, just like any learner would.

In a rapidly changing world, learning never stops, no matter where you are in your career journey.

💡 And to our students: the same goes for you too. Stay curious, embrace new technologies, and never stop learning. The skills you build today will shape the opportunities of tomorrow.

Five days. Two cities. One unforgettable experience. ✈️🌏
Our students embarked on an international learning journey to Hong Kong and Shenzhen, beginning with the International Competition 2026 held at the Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology (HKIIT) on 4-5 August 2026.

Working in mixed teams of 2 TP students and 2 HKIIT students, participants collaborated across cultures to tackle real-world challenges in four technology domains:

📊AI & Analytics
🔐 Cybersecurity
🥽 VR Development
📱 Mobile & Web Development

Students put their technical knowledge, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to the test. From brainstorming innovative ideas to developing solutions under pressure, the competition provided a valuable platform to learn, innovate, and grow together. 💡💻

The journey continued in Shenzhen, where students visited leading companies and gained first-hand insights into China’s vibrant innovation ecosystem. 🚀 These industry visits broadened students perspectives, strengthened their global mindset, and opened their eyes to future opportunities in technology and international collaboration.

📚 Never Too Late To Learn 💪✨

At 40, Sharifah Radhia made a bold decision to return to school while juggling a full-time career and raising three children as a single mother. What made the journey even more special? She was studying at Temasek Polytechnic alongside her 18-year-old son, Muhammad Abbas. ❤️

Over the past year, this remarkable mother-son duo navigated assignments, deadlines and exams together, inspiring each other every step of the way. While Abbas pursued a Diploma in Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics, Sharifah completed her Specialist Diploma in Business Analytics. 🎓

Sharifah's story reminds us that learning doesn't stop with age. It takes courage to step out of our comfort zones, embrace new challenges and continue growing both personally and professionally.

As part of Temasek Polytechnic's collaboration with Snowflake, our Diploma in Big Data Analytics (BDA) students had the opportunity to visit the Snowflake Singapore office for an insightful industry engagement session. This visit is one of the many initiatives under our partnership to provide students with authentic industry exposure and learning opportunities.

Students gained valuable insights from a distinguished panel of industry professionals who shared their experiences in the data and AI landscape:
• Saai Subramanian – Senior Solutions Engineer
• Vinay Sridhar – Principal Solutions Engineer
• Chentong Jia – AI & Machine Learning Solutions Architect

The learning continued with an inspiring Early Career Sharing Session, where Snowflake team members shared their career journeys, experiences, and advice on navigating the tech industry:

• Daryl Goh – Solutions Engineer
• Lucas Lim – Account Executive
• Fernando Chew – Senior Sales Development Representative
