NUS Seafarers The NUS Seafarers provide students and alumni with the unique opportunity to sail across seas and explore maritime communities in Southeast Asia.

The NUS Seafarers are students and staff of the National University of Singapore who explore the seas around Singapore to improve their understanding of the region and hone their maritime skills. In so doing, NUS Seafarers aim to facilitate cross-disciplinary experiential learning, enhance communal well-being, and to advocate sustainable maritime practices.

We were grateful to have the opportunity to be part of this twakow talk, learning about Singapore’s living history through the traditional cargo boat ⛵️ that once supported trade across our waters long before modern ports existed.

It was meaningful to witness so many people come together to appreciate its maritime heritage and significance!
