NP Japanese Tsubasa Club The Japanese Cultural Club was founded in 1998 and formally formed in 2000. It is the first Japanese Interest Group in Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

The club consists of 5 different divisions: Cultural, Taiko, Cosplay ,Comink and Language. Cultural – We promote the learning of Japanese culture in aspects such as cuisine, handicraft, games, the language , events that Japanese celebrate and also hosting of students from Japan. Taiko (Japanese Drums) - Founded in 2005, the division aims to teach its members how to play the Japanese Drum. This div

ision offers the opportunity to develop not only musical talents but the spirit of teamwork and friendships as well as pushing physical capabilities. The division performs frequently both in school and in prestigious events such as the World Drum Night. Cosplay (Costume Play)- Japanese Tsubasa Club's very own Cosplay division is aimed at promoting the hobby. The division aims to help and gather enthusiasts as well as people new to the hobby by organising as well as attending Cosplay events, teaching the basics, and organizing photoshoots. Comink– A division which joined the family in 2010. The division aims to train students in the art of drawing comics(manga) and allowing students to publish their works. Students will be taught the different aspects to look out for in drawing comics and how the process of creating a comic is like. Language - The division was recently founded in 2016 and aims to provide its members with a place where they can learn and practice the Japanese Language in a fun and stress free manner.
