Earlier today, the National Council for Higher Education and the Uganda Law Council jointly conducted an institutional audit of Nkumba University School of Law in fulfillment of their statutory mandates under the Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions Act, 2001 (as amended) and the Advocates Act respectively.

The full-day inspection focused on Academic and administrative staffing, library resources, moot court facilities, curriculum development & delivery, Funding, Teaching & learning quality and Legal training infrastructure.

The purpose of the audit was to assess whether the University complies with the prescribed standards for legal education and training in Uganda.

Nkumba University celebrated International Nurses’ Day under the theme “Our Nurses, Our Future.”

The event was held in observance of International Nurses’ Day, commemorated annually on 12th May.

The celebration featured a series of activities, including:

1. Early morning aerobics
2. Traffic guided procession
3. Free Healthcare services, such as:
Screening for HIV/AIDS, Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Cervical Cancer, and Tuberculosis, Voluntary blood donation, Management and treatment of minor ailments, Professional health counseling services.

We extend our appreciation to our partners, Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital and Uganda Red Cross Society plus all participants for being part of this meaningful celebration.
