I have observed that members in fraternities like Media and Entertainment (Musicians, DJs, journalists etc) are getting food and other relief items but who is thinking about # *TEACHERS* ?
Teachers are among the less paid and less motivated people in this country and were actually among the first people affected by the lockdown because schools were among the first institutions to be told to close. Not many weeks ago, Newspapers and TV stations ran a story of a teacher in Eastern region who committed su***de over failure to get what to eat. Many are their quiet but going through a tough time, passing through alot of pain in the silence. Can you imagine!
Why do people who shape the growth and betterment of this country continue to be forgotten like that? Who's advocating for them? Where is the # *Ministry_of_Education* and Sports? Where is # *UNATU* and other Teachers' unions? Are they all not silent? Let's get to the school level, are # *Headteachers* thinking about how their teachers are currently faring and going about with life? In some schools, ever since the schools broke off, teachers have never received anything. Many have now accumulated loans to find a means of surviving. Isn't this supposed to be the time when teachers need quick and serious support? Anyway these are my thoughts and questions I'm asking myself this evening. I'm sensing a bigger problem coming incase the lockdown happens to be extended.

*you're a teacher*
*Teachers also have rights*
