For more than 50 years, The Maintenance Shop has been one of Ames’ most iconic venues. From legendary musicians and underground artists to comedians, improv, and open mic nights, there’s always something happening at the M-Shop.

And while you’re there, you can also find our b**r on tap and in cans 🌪️🍺

The M-Shop is open weekdays from 11 AM–5 PM, in addition to hosting special events throughout the year. And yes, the iconic stained-glass window still casts its signature orange glow behind the stage, just like it has since 1974.

Here’s a look at our head brewer, Stacy Greone, preparing grain for the next batch of b**r. Milling is an important first step in the brewing process, helping prepare the grain for mashing and setting the stage for everything that follows.
