The Iowa Statesmen had the great privilege of working with Dr. Bjella once again this past Monday, the 18th. We learned so many techniques from him which, from just 2 hours, has improved our singing. Thank you Dr. Bjella for coming back to Ames to work with us!

Hello everyone! Tonight the Iowa Statesmen have the honor of performing with the distinguished King's Singers, a six man acappella group from King's College in Cambridge. The show starts at 7:30 at Stephen's Auditorium, and we will perform the encore piece with them, Ave Maria, perfect for Valentine's Day!

We have stayed busy this semester! Last week, we had a concert out at Ballard High School!
On Monday we were joined by Dr. Lee Nelson as he rehearsed with us as we get ready to gear up for our next concerts!
Speaking of next concerts, our next one will be this Sunday at 1:30 and 3:30, and will be back in Music Hall on Iowa States campus. We hope you can join us!

Want to come listen to what we have been up to this semester? The Collage of Choirs is happening this Sunday at 3pm, at Stephans Auditorium! We will be sharing this concert with the rest of the choirs here at Iowa State! We hope to see you there!

Today was the last rehearsal of the year for us! We had to say goodbye to 9 members that have been with the group for at least 7 semesters. Thank you for the experiences gentleman and good luck! Help us thank these Statesmen!

We had another great concert performing for the Centerville community! Please join us tomorrow for our 1:30 P.M. concert at the Music Hall in Ames. It will be our last Statesmen concert of the year. We look forward to seeing you there!

Every semester, there are always a couple members of Statesmen that leave us at semester whether they have class conflicts or are graduating. Dr. Rodde has a a gift for members that have been in the choir for 7 semesters or longer as a way to thank them for being in the choir for so long. This semester 4 members are leaving us that have been great representatives of our choir for a while now. Help us thank Carter, Deon, Alec, and Cody. Good luck on your next journey gentleman!

We'd like to thank everyone who came out to the masterworks concert this year, learning a work by Mozart and really spending time picking apart and analyzing what's happening where is a really cool experience. We're glad we could share Mozart's requiem and a few Wilberg pieces with you, and we hope to see you next year!
