The FAFSA priority deadline for UMass Amherst is March 1st—but don't panic if you need more time! 🗓️

Submitting your FAFSA by March 1st means you'll receive your financial aid offer earlier and be considered for all available funding at the best time. However, filing after March 1st won't affect your eligibility for aid. You still have until May 1st to meet the Massachusetts state deadline and June 30, 2027 for the federal deadline.

Here's how to get it done:

Start or renew your application - Head to studentaid.gov to fill out your FAFSA. If you filed last year, you can renew it quickly.

Gather your documents - You'll need your 2024 tax returns and W-2 forms handy while you're filling it out. Having these ready makes the process much smoother.

Add UMass Amherst - Make sure UMass Amherst is listed as one of your schools. Our Federal School Code is 002221.

Need help? We've got you covered:

Financial Aid Services is your go-to resource for any questions about your aid package, application issues, or FAFSA deadlines. Visit them in Whitmore Administration Building, Room 243; call them; or find resources online at umass.edu/financialaid. Don't hesitate to reach out—they're here to help you navigate the process! 💚
