Tschabalala Self ’12 is taking London’s Fourth Plinth.

On September 10, Self’s monumental sculpture Lady in Blue will be unveiled in Trafalgar Square, becoming the 16th commission for one of the world’s most celebrated public art platforms.

A bronze figure of a contemporary “everywoman,” Lady in Blue pays homage to the women who make up the fabric of London—and reflects Self’s ongoing exploration of the human figure and representations of women.
