Lately I’m like the book Where’s Waldo….so where’s Wendy?? Skiing & of course baking!!!
Need a new Easter recipe?? I’m obsessed with these Blueberry-orange bran muffins that found their way to me via . Then put a bug in my ear about homemade bagels so I just had to try my hand at them and thanks to voila perfect at home bagels! Flavors shown cheddar-Jalepeno, sea salt, onion, and ghost pepper. Last week headed west for some Spring skiing, but it was WAY COLDER than we expected; however, incredibly beautiful weather/perfect snow and empty slopes/no lift lines. Loved our rental at Vail Trails East 7A…….

Fun fact I grew up skiing, immediately breaking my first pair (a Christmas present from Santa) in two when I was just six. Thankfully my parents sprung for a second pair and didn’t make me wait till the next Christmas; from that point I was hooked. I skied all through high school (four year letterman & senior captain!) and as a member of the Central United States Ski Association, combining my slalom & giant slalom skills to an overall age class championship in 1986! My parents were troopers braving the cold temps every weekend to support my passion and haul me all over Northern Michigan.
But back to food…..yes I cook/bake and entertain on vacay but I don’t brew beer….our new fav blood orange enjoyed was so refreshing after a day on the mountains.
Promising cakes w/next post, maybe some spring flowers if I find them beneath all the ATL pollen. Glad to be home to walk, play tennis and pickleball w/out putting on so many extra layers!!!
