GT 1000/2000 First-Year & Transfer Seminar

GT 1000/2000 First-Year & Transfer Seminar GT1000 is Georgia Tech's First-Year Seminar (FYS) TLs facilitate small groups within each class and offer mentoring, advice, and support to freshmen.

GT 1000 is taught by academic faculty and university administrators with advanced degrees, and upper-class student volunteers who serve as Team Leaders (TLs). Many students who have successfully completed GT 1000 report that the friendships formed with their fellow students and team leaders last well beyond the completion of the course. The course meets for one hour each week and covers topics cri

tical to first-year student success, such as academic success strategies; academic enrichment programs (e.g., cooperative education, study abroad, and undergraduate research); leadership, community service, and involvement opportunities; career and academic major exploration; resume writing; team building skills; oral presentation skills; and Georgia Tech history and traditions. http://enrichment.gatech.edu/gt1000-firstyear-seminar

What Do Happiness & Sustainability Mean to You? What is the connection between happiness and sustainability—and how can we apply this connection to the Georgia Tech community?

Students are invited to join us for a workshop hosted by Dr. Scott Cloutier as we consider what happiness and sustainability mean for Georgia Tech, and how students can create a happier, more sustainable Tech community.

March 1, 2018 @ 11:00am in the Clough Lounge. Lunch will be provided to all attendees. RSVP here: http://enrichment.gatech.edu/content/happiness-and-sustainability-workshop-rsvp
