On this Memorial Day, the Brothers of Bannaker Lodge No. 3 pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten. As we gather with family and friends, let us reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of their unwavering commitment.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all who have served and especially to those who gave their lives in defense of liberty.

May we continue to uphold the values of unity, service, and brotherhood in their memory.

Today, the Brothers of Bannaker Lodge No. 3 honor and celebrate the strength, wisdom, sacrifice, and unconditional love of mothers everywhere.

To every mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, mentor, and nurturing spirit in our community, thank you for the countless ways you uplift families and shape future generations with grace and compassion. Your guidance and devotion are the foundation upon which strong homes and strong communities are built.

In celebration of Teacher Appreciation, the Brothers of Bannaker Lodge No. 3 extend our heartfelt thanks to all educators for the incredible work you do every day. Your dedication, patience, and commitment make a lasting impact on our communities.

A special shoutout to Jenkins White Elementary for allowing us the opportunity to serve breakfast to your amazing staff. We truly appreciate all that you do!

As we close out the month of February, we were honored to spend the day connecting with the incredible seniors at the Carrie Mays Community Center during their Black History Month program. Sharing a warm meal, meaningful conversations, and heartfelt moments together was a beautiful reminder of the power of community and service.

As Martin Luther King Jr. wisely said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?"

Today, we were grateful for the opportunity to answer that question through fellowship, gratitude, and giving back.

Black History Month is a time to recognize resilience, brilliance, and the countless contributions that shape our world as we celebrate the legacy of leaders, creators, and change-makers whose impact continues to move us forward. May we honor Black history not just in words, but through learning, respect, and action.

Today, the Brothers of Bannaker Lodge No. 3, the Sisters of Lucy Laney Chapter No. 20, the John G. Zeigler Council No. 1 Knights of Pythagoras, and the Belle S. Clark Youth united to honor the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through a meaningful Day of Service. Together, we put his words into action, embracing his timeless reminder:

“Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, and a soul generated by love.” — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

In service and unity, we celebrated his legacy by uplifting our community and one another.
