Empower others. Lead beyond the bridge.
It’s who we are. It’s what we do.
We, the Communication and Leadership Club (CLC) at the University of Texas at Austin, exist to be used by ALL university students as a tool to discuss and develop ethical leadership, serve and empower others within campus and the city of Austin, and create an intentional, close community of leaders and friends.
We came to fruition in the Spring of 2018 through the inspiring efforts of three Communication and Leadership (CLD) majors who were looking to establish a close community of devoted, passionate, and aspiring students. We are also proud to say that we are sponsored by the Moody College.
Our logo, updated in 2019, represents what we stand for and believe in. The blue concentric circles are representative of water ripples, and like these ripples, we want our ideals and impacts to have far-reaching effects in the community. Outside of the Moody College of Communication stands the famous Moody Bridge which connects the BMC and CMA buildings, and in order to empower others, we desire to lead beyond the bridge.
