Today marks one year since moving to Austin. One year since arriving at 2am only to show up at work by 8:30. One year since packing up my life into a POD in a matter of 3 days. One year since moving without knowing where I was going to live. One year since moving without knowing anyone but a sorority sister who I hadn’t talked to since sophomore year of college. One year since moving with a car packed to the brim and faith that God would provide... and provide He did!
I look back at this past year and I’m amazed at all that God did. He provided me with a job I love. He provided me with a place to live. He provided me with a nurturing church family. He provided me with a life-giving group of friends. He provided me with roommates who listen to me rant and make me laugh. He provided me with people who pray over me and love me well.
I look back at this day a year ago and am in awe of the blessing God has provided over this past year. I would have never been able to pray for the good that He had in store for me even if I tried. I’m so thankful I serve a loving God who has a better story written for me than I could ever write on my own.
Thank you to the people who have made this year what it was. Thank you for loving me and praying over me and investing in me. God knew what He was doing when he wrote you into my story and I’m so thankful for it. I can’t wait to see what this next year has in store... I know He is already planning big things🇬🇧 @ Austin, Texas

Thankful I get to live with these beautiful women during quarantine. Thankful for a God who has risen from the grave. Thankful for an empty tomb. Thankful for this beautiful day. Thankful for the countless blessings in my life. Happy Easter y’all💐

It’s been two months since I arrived in Austin at 2am only to have to be at work 4.5 hours later. Two months since I showed up and was told that I was “recommended for hire” by my school but hadn’t formally been hired by HR. Two months since I found out that meant I didn’t have proof of employment which also meant I couldn’t get an apartment. Two months since going to dinner with and meeting who told me she had a room in her house that I could move into. Two months since and helped me unload everything out of my POD and into my garage all while they were in the middle of packing to move themselves. Two months since leaning how hot Texas heat really is. Two months since sticking to my word and making the move I said I was going to make no matter how hard it got. God is so good and He wove my story together so beautifully. He provided me with solutions to every barrier. Yes, he even finalized my proof of employment so Im official🙌🏻 So thankful I’ve gotten to call this awesome city home for the past two months and so thankful for the people I’ve met along the way❤️ @ Austin, Texas
