What a beautiful weekend filled with sisterhood, elegance, and excellence. From gathering together in the warmth of our Silhouette sisters beautiful home for lunch to connect and bond — sharing laughter, stories, encouragement and unforgettable moments — to later transforming into our gowns for an evening of grace and celebration, every moment was special.

*The organic eggs and fruit are all homegrown from her own backyard which added such a sweet touch to our visit. 🌱🍃🐓

As a newly chartered chapter, it was truly an honor to celebrate the Golden Charter Anniversary of a remarkable Bakersfield sorority whose legacy continues to uplift the community through leadership, scholarship, and service. Witnessing local community leaders being honored for their impact with the Central Valley Nupes by our side made the evening even more meaningful and inspiring.

Weekends like this are a reminder that sisterhood is powerful, timeless, and deeply rooted in love, support, and excellence. We are so grateful for the memories made, the bonds strengthened, and the beauty of celebrating women who continue to lead and serve with purpose. Congratulations to the women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Kappa Omega Omega Chapter (Bakersfield, CA) for 50 years of excellence!

We started the New Year off by giving back 📚…

The Central Valley Silhouettes were delighted to participate in Founders’ Day Weekend festivities alongside the Central Valley Nupes of Bakersfield (CA) Alumni Chapter, supporting local youth at this month’s service event called Room to Read, in partnership with Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and Clovis Library.

This ‘season of giving’ the Central Valley Silhouettes are excited to assist the as they raise funds to support the mission of St.Jude Children’s Research Hospital during the Holidays. St Jude believes that no child should face cancer alone, and families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food. St. Jude’s work is life-changing: their research has helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to over 80%.
