Lyon College Athletics would like to announce the promotion of David Butterfield to Head Coach of Scots Baseball!
Butterfield has been instrumental to the success of the program over the past two years where he served as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. Under his coaching, the team made their first semifinal appearance in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Tournament. His efforts have also been instrumental in the development of several standout players, who have been recognized at the conference and national level.
Butterfield is excited for the opportunity stating, “Lyon has a strong tradition, outstanding people, and a community that cares deeply about developing student-athletes both on and off the field. Our goal will continue to be to develop young men who compete with passion, represent Lyon College the right way, and pursue success”.
