Peter Hendricks, Ph.D., of the UAB Heersink School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology, was featured in Scientific American discussing new research exploring psilocybin-assisted therapy for co***ne use disorder, a condition with no FDA-approved medications.

The study found promising results, while researchers note that larger studies are needed to better understand the findings.
