In honor of our Centennial we will be highlighting a Soror every Wednesday who exemplifies what it means to be “Greater”. Introducing “Greater Women Wednesdays” which is our take on “Women Crush Wednesdays” here at Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated !

Our first “Greater Women Wednesday” feature is Soror Elaine Wilson. Soror Wilson is a member of the Theta Pi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. in Riverside, California which is apart of the Sgrho Western Region .

Soror Wilson has been a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated for 56 years and is grateful for the opportunities for Sisterhood, Service, and Scholarship. She worked as an educator for 40+ years impacting the lives of several students and families. She has been a member of Loveland Church for 37+ years. She has been able to use her love of service as an information portal for scholarships, community activism focusing on Voter Education & Registration, Mental Health, and Economic Empowerment.

She has received honors from the following: Rialto Unified School District as an Exemplary African American Educator, the San Bernardino NAACP Council for Community Impact, Empower You Edutainment Board Member and several other honors.

Sigma Saturday-Greater Service, Greater Progress:

On Saturday June 4th, 2022 Eta Mu Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., participated in the March for Babies: Mother of a Moment Walk for March of Dimes at Queeny Park.

March of Dimes leads the fight for the health of all moms and babies. They support research, lead programs and provide education and advocacy so that every family can have the best possible start.

We are especially pRHOud, as we continue on the , that through this unique partnership, 22 Youth will receive Semi-Private instruction at zero cost to their families.
