IU Organ Department Welcome to the IU Organists page, to current students, and to the many alumni in IOU!

On behalf of a dedicated and energetic body of students and faculty, welcome to the Facebook home of the Organ Department at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. The organ department, whose heritage spans nearly seven decades, has consistently produced graduates of the highest caliber who serve with distinction in churches, academic settings, and the concert field. At IU, organ students

have the opportunity to take courses in applied organ, organ literature, sacred music, organ construction and design, and improvisation. More information may be found about all of these opportunities by navigating the menu on the left. Gifted and internationally recognized faculty bring a wealth of experience, talent, and wisdom to the department. In addition to their work in the department, they are visible in the wider Bloomington community and in the world as recitalists, clinicians, guest lecturers, and recording artists. Each of them is available to answer questions about the department and about the possibilities for study and enrichment offered through the Jacobs School of Music.
