THANK YOU!!! I always say we have the best students, but we have the best alums too! In 2 days, we met and exceeded the goal! I've got more goodies to come for the seniors next week!

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your support! The seniors are loving the snacks and drinks and I plan to restock that soon! I'd like to be able to get them some pizza a couple of nights next week (don't tell them....a surprise). If alums donate $100 more total, I can get that done!

It's the end of the semester! Senior Portfolio Review is Thursday the 30th (public reception from 4-6). I bet you remember those last crazy days in studio. To help the seniors, I have created a Senior Survival Kit in the studio and it has been very appreciated. I'd like to restock that kit (all the snacks are already gone) and next week, I'd like like to get them some pizzas at night. We can no longer buy any food through the University, so I'd like to do this personally. If you'd like to contribute, I think I could do some nice things for their last long days in studio if I had about $200 total. "My name is Betsy Kauffman, and I am the co-owner of Kauffman & Co., a custom furniture manufacturer based in the Charlotte area. We design and build high-quality custom furniture for both residential and commercial clients, and we are actively growing our commercial presence across the region.

I am reaching out because we have an immediate opening for a Design Project Manager — an entry-level role ideally suited for a recent graduate with a degree in Interior Design and some internship experience. It's a hands-on position at the intersection of design, client communication, and project coordination, with real exposure to custom fabrication in both the commercial and residential design markets.

A few details worth noting:
The role is Charlotte-based with weekly travel to our furniture manufacturing facility in Denver, NC (about 30 miles from Charlotte, typically a 45-minute drive)
The candidate will work directly alongside our Design Operations Leader, a senior role we are also actively recruiting — happy to share that overview as well if it would be useful for your alumni network
It's a strong launching pad for someone who wants to build practical, real-world design skills quickly in a growing company
