Boston University Rocket Propulsion Group

Boston University Rocket Propulsion Group Building the next generation of suborbital rockets and going where no amateur or university has gone before.

Boston University Rocket Propulsion Group (BURPG) is an undergraduate research group that designs, manufactures, and launches rockets, and is entirely funded by private sponsors and donors. We build hybrid and liquid launch vehicles, paving the way for cheaper and more accessible access to space. The Rocket Propulsion Group focuses on the development of its members, all of which are undergraduates

at Boston University. BURPG provides students with opportunities to develop and build fully functioning launch vehicles as well as the electronics and support systems that accompany them. Our most valuable products are the engineers we shape. Beyond exposing students to a very technical environment, BURPG prepares students for industry. Through our alumni and interns, the group is connected to aerospace companies around the US, including Virgin Galactic, SpaceX, GE Aviation, and Raytheon.
