Chi Omega at Oglethorpe University

Chi Omega at Oglethorpe University Delta Theta chapter of the Chi Omega Fraternity
Oglethorpe University
Atlanta, GA

To live constantly above snobbery of word or deed; to place scholarship before social obligations and character before appearances: to be in the best sense, democratic rather than "exclusive," and lovable rather than "popular," to work earnestly, to speak kindly, to act sincerly, to choose thoughtfully that course which occasion and conscience demand; to be womanly always; to be discouraged never,

in a word to be loyal under any and all circumstances to my Fraternity and her highest teachings and to have her welfare ever at heart that she may be a symphony of high purpose and helpfulness in which there is no discordant note.

WHY CHI O - After going through my freshmen year, I knew I wanted to find more community and more people who felt like home. When I went through recruitment and found Chi Omega, it just clicked in a way I didn’t expect. The conversations felt real, the people felt genuine, and I didn’t feel like I had to be anyone other than myself. It quickly became a space where I could grow, feel supported, and build meaningful friendships. Chi Omega showed me what it looks like to be surrounded by women who truly care about each other and I could not be more grateful.

WHY CHI O - When joining Oglethorpe, I was eager to find a sense of belonging and meaningful friendships. I did not know Oglethorpe had Greek life or what Greek life even entailed but when going through recruitment I soon found out what it meant with chi o. It was the first house I went to and I instantly fell in love with everyone’s warmth and energy. There was no question that I felt the most belonging with chi o and it was exactly what I needed.❤️💛
