This Wellness Wednesday, the Counseling Center shares an important reminder: Self-Care Is Supposed to Look Like YOU.

There’s no one-size-fits-all version of taking care of yourself. What restores and supports one person may look completely different for another — and that’s okay.

The Counseling Center is here as “A Place to Be Seen, Heard, and Supported” (open Monday–Friday, 9:00am–4:00pm).

Take a moment to read this week’s reflection and consider what authentic self-care looks like for you.

Join us on Saturday, October 3 from 11:00am to 3:00pm for one of Rosemont’s most anticipated traditions. This free event is open to students, families, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends — featuring live music, food trucks, games, a b**r garden (21+), a kids’ zone, and plenty of community connection.

Fall Move In is complete, and what a meaningful start to the year! Residence Life staff and campus partners welcomed students and families back with care and intention. From training and team-building to being fully present on Move-In Day, our RAs and RDs helped create a warm and supportive atmosphere.

As Dr. Yolanda Alovor shared: “The size of our community does not determine the strength of it. What matters is how intentionally we show up for one another.”

Thank you to the entire Residence Life team for making students feel seen, supported, and valued!

A member of the Class of 2012 and graduate of Rosemont’s MFA in Creative Writing program, Nichole Louise has released her second novel, A Strange and Terrible Wonder!

The book is a compelling historical folk horror reimagining of the Lost Colony of Roanoke, blending 16th-century science, the occult, and the impacts of early colonialism.

Her first novel, Raven Rock, received recognition from Writer’s Digest and others, and now she’s continuing to make her mark in historical fiction.
