Kershaw County Tableaux Society

Kershaw County Tableaux Society Creating 'living pictures' is a time-honored tradition. We bring works of art to life with actors, costumes, and make-up - exploring history and culture.

A 'tableau vivant' is French for ‘living picture’. The utilization of actors, costumes, and make-up to recreate works of art was incredibly popular in the 19th century, and is still showcased in events like the Pageant of Masters held annually in Laguna Beach, California and the Living Gallery at Bob Jones University. We’re bringing this grand tradition to Kershaw County! We’re looking for actors/

models, make-up geniuses, crafty costumers, set constructionists, and general enthusiasts of (quite literally!) off-the-wall projects! Join us – and bring both art and history to life!
