We are pleased to announce that Jaime Marie Webb has been named Assistant Professor of Instruction in Applied Voice.

Soprano Jaime Webb has performed leading roles across the U.S. and internationally, with appearances at Carnegie Hall, Salle Gaveau, and the Teatro Ángela Peralta. An active regional artist, she has upcoming performances with the Winona Symphony Orchestra, Iowa Musicology Day, and Opera Quad Cities, and often performs with other regional companies including Opera Omaha and Cedar Rapids Opera. Prior to her UNI appointment, she served on the Luther College faculty teaching Applied Voice, Class Voice, and Opera Scenes.

Fun fact: Jaime loves adventuring with her wife and dog, and she builds her own kayaks, which she is particularly excited to bring along for outdoor exploration in the Cedar Valley!

Professor Webb is excited to join this wonderful team of esteemed faculty in the UNI School of Music. Welcome home!

UNI will delay the start of in-person classes until 10 a.m. on Friday, January 23.

Due to extreme winter weather conditions, the University of Northern Iowa campus will delay the start of in-person classes until 10 a.m. on Friday, January 23. Campus will open for normal business hours at 8 a.m.

Instructors for in-person classes may move classes to an online format with prior notification. Online/virtual classes will proceed as scheduled.

At this time, UNI Athletics and Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts events will proceed as scheduled unless those entities announce any changes at a later time.
