Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday and a great day to make a donation to Illini Lane Lines to support the University of Illinois Women's Swim and Dive Program. 100% of every donation is given to the team to support their training, equipment, travel and more. We are a 501(c)3 organization.

Already this year, we have raised enough funds to cover a LOT of the equipment needs, some team dinners, and more. But we have a long way to go. We need everyone to chip in what they can...$100, $200, $500, $1000 or more.

A message from Coach Jeana Kempe.....

Dear Illini Alumni,

THANK YOU to all you have donated to our program this summer. Since my first email, we have raised enough money for:

ALL Swim & Run Belts

All Competitive Swim Belts

All Chamois Cloths

All Resistance Bands (XLight – Light – Medium)

All Swim Parachutes

We also received generous donations that will be put towards team travel and our team retreat. THANK YOU again to ALL who have already supported us for this season.

A Message from Coach Jeana Kempe....

Dear Alumni, famILLy, and friends of Illinois Swim & Dive,

It has been great to run into so many of you at meets, practices, weddings, and in the Champaign-Urbana area. Thank you for your support and kind words over the past two years.

We are thrilled with our academic and athletic accomplishments this past year and we are excited about the coming year. In the latest GPA rankings, The Fighting Illini Swim and Dive program ranks #1 in the Big Ten Conference, #1 among Power 5 Schools, and #3 in the U.S. at the Division 1 level!

As some may know, college athletics will soon be entering uncharted territory in the fall of 2025. Conference realignments, roster caps, and revenue sharing are all about to drastically change the college landscape. All this being said, we have an amazing leader in Josh Whitman, who will help Illinois be in the best position for success moving forward. However, I believe more than ever, we need YOU to best position our team for long term success!

With the help of our AMAZING alumni and Illini Lane Lines leaders (Dave Chiappe, Doug McConnell and Tracy Grimes) we have developed a website for our supporters to aid our team yearly with monetary donations. Moving forward we need to be a program and famILLy with lifelong giving opportunities. We need your ongoing support to allow us to do more within our budget to take our team to the next level. On the website there is a list of needs and their associated cost that you can support. We have large ticket items and small ticket items (Price range of $10 - $5,000). It is even set up to donate a portion of the cost of an item (Maybe a class would like to donate a team dinner). Every donation will help our program! All of the items listed on the website play a crucial role in our student-athletes development throughout the season. From bonding over team dinners, to helping our divers get necessary platform training and proper landing mats, to everyday items such as jump ropes and resistance cords. They all make a difference! I’ve made it a personal goal to CLEAR the website by the beginning of the season in August! I will send updates on our progress over the next two months!

Our schedule for the ‘24-’25 school year will be released soon. We hope to see you in Champaign or on the road! We are ecstatic about next year's team and what they can accomplish.

It was my pleasure to photograph your group event honoring legendary coach Don Sammons at Pinstripes in Oak Brook. His influence was obvious by the size and energy of the group that gathered in his honor. I’m sure his wife Marilyn was touched.
