UNC Hunger Lunch

UNC Hunger Lunch If you have any questions email Hannah Smith at [email protected]! Hunger Lunch is the primary venture for Nourish International's UNC chapter.

It was started in 2003 and has grown enormously since then. All the money raised from Hunger Lunch goes to help fund Nourish's global projects every summer. Our previous catering partner was TROSA, a long-term, residential substance abuse recovery program in Durham. (Check them out here http://www.trosainc.org/program/index.htm ) But we now partner with a local Indian restaurant called Vimala's C

urryblossom Cafe! Hunger Lunch helps students by providing a healthy lunch at a low cost, it helps eradicate social injustices world-wide with funding Nourish's international projects, and it also helps in our local community by supporting local restaurants.

Hey Everyone!
Thanks so much for the turn out last Wednesday and for sticking with us through our re-vamping process. We hope to see you in the Pit tomorrow from 11-2. We ordered more food this time and we will be offering a $6.00 meal option if you would like an extra piece of naan (while extra naan supplies last). See you then and bring Tupperware to reduce waste!
