This year alone we raised over $10,000 for CEED, so THANK YOU to everyone who came out last night to show up, support, cheer for an impact that goes beyond the stage!

Meet our 2026 Panhellenic Excellence Scholarship Winners!

Panhellenic Excellence Scholars embody what it means to lead with both intellect and intention, prioritizing their studies while making meaningful contributions to their chapters, campus, and community.

They are researchers, leaders, volunteers, and change-makers, women who push themselves in the classroom and show up for others beyond it. From late nights studying to early mornings serving, they represent the dedication, resilience, and passion that define UNC Panhellenic.

This year, our five winners are:

⭐️ Julia Ballou

⭐️ Lainey Arleth

⭐️ Alicia Gebara

⭐️ Caroline Owen

⭐️ Macy Crosser

Congratulations to each of you, and thank you for the dedication you bring to strengthening and uplifting the Panhellenic community every day!

Today we wanted to highlight Kappa Delta’s philanthropy, Prevent Child Abuse America and Girl Scouts of America🍀💚

Their chapter is locally connected to the Center for Child and Family Health (CCFH), and they host two main events throughout the school year to help raise awareness and help fight child abuse and aid families who are experiencing abuse-related trauma.

In the fall, they host their annual backyard BBQ with food prepared by their chef and live music! In the spring, they host their annual Shamrock ‘n’ Run 5k, a community-centered 5K that brings together students, families, and local organizations to run, host tables, and celebrate together, with benefit nights and a dinner the night before the race for participants to build excitement and support.

Here’s what their Director of Philanthropy has to say about what their philanthropy means to them:

“Our philanthropy is meaningful because it brings our chapter together to support and uplift the community around us. Seeing the gratitude from our local partner connected to Prevent Child Abuse America, the Center for Child and Family Health (CCFH), whether through thank-you calls, visits, or invitations to help with projects, reminds us that our acts of service can make a real impact. We also see this impact through the relationships we build in our community, whether that’s hosting events with Girl Scouts or volunteering our time wherever help is needed (like Habitat for Humanity Builds!). It’s incredibly meaningful to know that our chapter is helping sustain organizations that support families and prevent child abuse, and that together we can make a lasting difference. It motivates us to keep showing up and keep giving back!“

In honor of Heart Health Week, we wanted to highlight Alpha Phi’s philanthropy, the Alpha Phi Foundation♥️♥️

Alpha Phi Foundation’s heart initiative is a primary philanthropic focus on funding research, education, and community programs that improve cardiovascular care for women.

Each year, the chapter hosts two major events:

- Alpha Phifa: soccer tournament where fraternities and sororities compete in a soccer tournament to help raise funds for their cause⚽️🏃‍♀️🩵

- Alpha Phair: A community wide event at the Alpha Phi House featuring a dunk tank, fair food, live music, and other activities, bringing everyone together for a good cause🎡🎟️🌭

Here’s what the Director of Philanthropy has to say about what the Alpha Phi Foundation means to their chapter:

“Our philanthropy is meaningful to our chapter because the Alpha Phi Foundation directly supports women’s heart health research, helping address an issue that affects so many women and families. At the same time, the Foundation invests back into Alpha Phi members through scholarships, leadership development programs, and Forget Me Not assistance grants for alumnae facing hardship. Knowing that our efforts both advance lifesaving research and support our own sisterhood makes our philanthropy especially personal and impactful to us.”
