Over the next few weeks and months I will keep you all updated on my thoughts regarding current issues facing Jefferson County, how I think we can address those issues, and I will gladly answer all questions that any of you have for me. Below are some facts about myself:
-I currently reside in Charles Town, WV with my wife Michelle and have strong roots to the Eastern Panhandle with my grandparen
ts living in Paw Paw, WV much of their lives.
-My educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree from Towson University in Accounting, an MBA from Shenandoah University, and I am currently working to pass the CPA Exam (Certified Public Accountant)
-My work history includes time in Public Accounting, working at an Oil and Gas firm, and most recently a Fortune 500 Utility company in Regulatory Affairs.
-My background in Accounting/Finance/Utilities coupled with my strong education will prove to be a very beneficial asset for Jefferson County as we work to close the budget issues that have caused great concern to all of us state wide.
-I believe in running county government as "lean" and efficient as possible. I want to work along side fellow Commissioners to see where we can promote more money saving mechanisms as well as what areas of the county can be reworked to run in a more practical and realistic way.
