This closing deserves its own reality show!! What should have been a normal timeline turned into almost two months of pure chaos because the lender could not get an appraiser out there. And when she finally did appear, she made us jump through hoops like we were auditioning for a circus. And we did jump when she said jump! And because I had an AMAZING seller that always does the right thing, we didn't turn our back on this situation. He did everything in his power to make this work for a Veteran buyer.

But back to CooCoo the appraiser, first she said the house did not exist. Then the address did not exist. Then she said she had already been there before and remembered the green cabinets. Then she told me the house had personality, style, and was memorable. What a great compliment coming from an appraiser, right? But really, I was just waiting for her to tell me the house had a favorite color and a zodiac sign.

Coo Coo was holding up closing...

It was the kind of entertainment you really don't want, but entertaining all the same. But in the end, this VA buyer got her house and made it just in time for the ice storm last weekend.

Closing under pressure is my new specialty.
