Paddy Murphy week is back!
Paddy Murphy is an ΣΑΕ legend that involves one of our brothers and his unfortunate death. To commemorate his death, an honorary funeral was held to celebrate his life. Now every year, ΣΑΕ chapters around the nation raise money in memory of paddy Murphy.
This year we are giving back by raising money for The St. Baldricks Foundation! We are tabling on campus with raffles and you can vote for your favorite painted coffin all week long. We are concluding the week with our annual head shaving event held at Sycamore Brewing. Help us reach our goal of $25,000 raised this week, can’t wait to see everyone!

No better way to spend homecoming weekend when you get to share it with those who matter most! We were ecstatic to share this weekend with our families and got to watch a great 49ers OT win over Rice, as well as kick off our first ever Father/Son golf tournament. Thank you to all the families that came out and made this weekend one to remember!

On October 22nd, 2011, NC Beta became a chartered chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. In 10 shorts years, we have grown to be the best fraternity on campus. Thank you to every brother who has impacted NC Beta, we couldn’t be where we are today without the positive contributions of everyone. Phi Alpha, and here’s to another 10!

This past weekend we sent one of our brothers, Evan Holmes, to the 165th national convention in Des Moines, Iowa! At the convention Evan represented Nc Beta, connecting with alumni and undergraduates around the realm on how to advance our chapter. Phi Alpha Evan!

The Self Made Men.

In honor of graduation, we wanted to say a huge congratulations to all of our seniors who are graduating this spring. These men all came in and made the chapter not only better for themselves, but for the future. Always stressing to leave NC Beta in better shape than when you arrived. We will not forget the impact all of you had on this chapter and IFC as well. We are grateful for evrything you have done for NC Beta and embodying what it means to be True Gentlemen. We wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors. Phi Alpha Gentlemen!

Our first ever St. Baldricks event came and went with a bang! This Sunday the NC Beta chapter of ΣAE had 30 brothers participate in our head-shaving event for childhood cancer awareness and research. We raised over $10,000 and absolutely CRUSHED our original goal! A huge thank you to Sycamore Brewing for helping us bring this vision to life and to the amazing staff at Sport Clips haircuts for your cooperation! A huge PA to Evan Dorsi for this amazing event and all those involved in the planning process! It’s safe to say we’ll see everyone same time next year.

Safe to say this is also the start of a tradition unlike any other! Our first Nc Beta Alumni Golf Tournament is in the books and congratulations to our champions Luke Harkins and Cameron Chapman! Huge thank you to Highland Creek for the hospitality and to the Alumni for helping make this possible!

We’re excited to announce that on Sunday April 25th from 12-5, we will be hosting our first ever St. Baldricks Shaving event to combat childhood cancer at Sycamore Brewery! This event is something very close to our chapter as 2 of our brothers, Evan Dorsi and Ryan Davis, are childhood cancer survivors. We strive as a chapter to reach our goal of $5,000 in donations to aid research. This will be an event you won’t want to miss, come stop by Sycamore and listen to some live music, grab something to eat at the food trucks and of course to see some of your favorite E’s Shave their heads! Please consider donating, this is an event you won’t want to miss. Hope to see you all out there!
