2025 wasn't our year
In a moment for full disclosure, Buttercup Avenue sales were down a LOT. It's easy to over think all the reasons why. Am I working hard enough? Am I doing it wrong? Do people even like our toys? Am I good enough?
But after all the self doubt, I'm reminding myself that I'm not the only one. 2025 was hard for a lot of small businesses. I see it everytime I hop on social media. Another one, throwing in the towel. Have you noticed this too?
I'm determined not to be the next!
My whole heart has gone into creating Despite having a rough year, I still love making toys that inspire joy and creativity in your child's play. This really is where my heart is 🫶
So, I'm working on some new toy designs to add to our line up. Planning a social media strategy. And being more strategic with the type of local markets I sign up for.
And, I'm working on something big too.
It's still in the very early stages and I was debating if I should say anything yet. But if you've read this far, you deserve to be the first to know 😊
I am in the process of learning digital art, so I can write and illustrate our first Buttercup Avenue children's book. This is something I've been wanting to do for a LONG time, and finally taking the leap. Putting our Buttercup animals into a children's book is the perfect step forward for our small business. It will help bring their personalities to life and make the Buttercup brand a whole new experience for your little ones.
It's a process though. Digital art and computer things do NOT come naturally to me (probably why I've been putting it off 😅). But I'm working on it! And I can't wait to make this dream a reality.
There are exciting things to come for 2026. In the meantime, we're also gearing up to make all the Spring and Easter items 🐇🌷🐝 I hope you'll stick around to see how it all comes together ❤
