This isn’t a gun-rights issue, this is a human-responsibility failure with irreversible consequences.
A 35-year-old woman in New Mexico allegedly fled authorities with her 11-month-old son and, according to deputies, fatally shoots him in the face with a handgun, reportedly so his father “would never be a part of his life.” She’s now charged with first-degree murder and child abandonment as the care her infant deserved turned into unthinkable violence.
This horrific case isn’t a debate about rights; it’s a reminder that the true test of our fundamental rights, including the right to keep and bear arms, lies in responsible stewardship and lawful use. When fi****ms are placed in the hands of those who are not responsible citizens, the consequences can be tragic beyond words.
