The veil represents what others see about us, but what is under the veil is who we really are and no one can or should judge anyone. -Campus | Beauties-
We approach individuals on campus with unique senses of style. We invite them to share with us their style for the day as well as what makes them a beautiful person on the inside. One "Campus Beauty of the Week" will be chosen per week. At the end of the year, the board will vote on the "Campus Beauty of the Year" from those who were chosen and they will receive a $50 gift card. We want to encourage and remind the winners and everyone else to not only work to become B.I.O., but to continue making an effort to become more beautiful and spread that to those around you.

TheVeil hosts a show every spring semester showcasing UIC students' unique style and personality. The show also consists of UIC and non-UIC performers, sponsors, and speakers. Individuals from the campus beauty search will be asked to participate. Others will also get a chance to participate as either a model or performer through an audition process. In the past, we have dedicated our show to Eating disorders, bullying, and suicide prevention and awareness. This year, we have dedicated our show to domestic violence prevention and awareness. Aside from supporting a good cause, everyone involved in our show work hard to promote the importance of beauty inside and out. Giving to those in need, being nonjudgmental, and learning to love yourself and the body that you were given are all examples of being beautiful both inside and out. We want YOU to know that you are special, loved, and here for a purpose.
-Volunteer | Fundraise-
We devote time to the community by volunteering and fundraising for charities. We focus on raising as much money as we can for whichever cause we have chosen for the "YES TO B.I.O." Members are required to attend at least THREE events per semester. Meet | Us
