This past weekend was the annual APSA/ASCI/AAP Joint Meeting. Many UIC students attended this wonderful conference that brought together physician-scientists from around the country. We were also grateful to our alumni Dr. Rizzo who recently gave a talk at the Inter-MSTP dinner seminar. It was inspiring to see an alum who was in our shoes less than a decade ago!

Join us in celebrating Black History Month.
This month we will be honoring the legacy of Black scientists/physicians, highlighting our amazing current students, and celebrating our program’s diversity.

Throughout the month we will be putting the spotlight on our brilliant Black students and a biography of their respective favorite Black physicians and/or scientists.
This is a student run account, and among us we believe diversity is a strength of our MSTP community.

Inter-MSTP Retreat Recap! We had a great first mini retreat where students from 5 Chicagoland schools presented their fantastic research and community outreach initiatives as flash talks or posters. The event also featured talks about family support, AI in medicine, non-traditional paths & and a session to casually get to know the directors!

This weekend the G3s celebrated their Halfway Done Party 🥳🎂 so proud of the G3 (AKA the MSTP cohort that started med school 100% on zoom due to COVID) for reaching this milestone. The marathon continues.
