Serbian Student Organization - SSO at UIC Serbian Student Organization at University of Illinois at Chicago

The purpose of this organization shall be to promote awareness of the Serbian and Serbian-American community founded at the University of Illinois at Chicago and the rest of the Chicago area. We want to help the transitioning freshmen bridge the gap from the high school to the university setting and establish communities of networking. In addition, the organization will be involved in fundraising to help the less fortunate in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro.

Meet our Spring 2026 Executive Board! It has been so exciting being Student Leaders for SSO, and we are so excited to finally introduce ourselves! ★

We are also excited to announce E-board applications! If you are interested in applying, we will have an open application process that will open on March 25th and close on May 5th. It’ll be an opportunity to get more involved on campus, and a great way to embrace the Balkan community in Chicago! We highly recommend you consider it!
