On this WLFEO Wednesday, we have Alpha member Cally Messmer sharing her Why ADPi as we get ready for initiation!

“It seems like ADPi has been meant for me since the beginning of my Loyola journey. Almost exactly a year ago, as a nervous high school senior with decision day looming, I went to Loyola Chicago’s admitted students day to gain more confidence in my decision to attend college 1400 miles away. I got the courage to talk to a current student, and she proudly spoke about her sorority and repped it with the cutest ADPi hoodie (shout out Lily!!). Her experience supported my choice to come to Loyola, hoping I could also find a sisterhood like the one I would be leaving at home. During the exhausting but exhilarating recruitment process, I always found joy and connection through my conversations with the Delta’s in ADPi. A member with the sweetest smile (who, unbeknownst to me, was my soon-to-be big, Jessie!!) opened the door to my favorite stop of each day, and I am so glad that at the end of the weekend it became my home. The highlight of my short time has definitely been my amazing Greek fam, filled with some of the funniest and most caring people I’ve ever met. After only being an Alpha Delta Pi for two months, I can certainly say I’ve never been surrounded by more kind, down-to-earth, and driven women in my life. Everything about my sisters inspires me to be a better person each day, and I know that with ADPi, I’ll grow more than I ever thought possible. 🌷”
