Today, we proudly celebrate the 21st Anniversary of the chartering of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Chi Omega Omega Chapter—Home of the Historic 101. 💕💚

On June 18, 2005, 101 visionary women came together with purpose, passion, and an unwavering commitment to Service to All Mankind. What began as a bold and historic journey has grown into a powerful legacy of leadership, sisterhood, and community impact.

Twenty-one years later, our chapter has flourished to over four times its original size, carrying forward the foundation established by our charter members with excellence, grace, and dedication. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to fostering a culture of love, kindness, respect, and true sisterliness—ensuring that every member feels valued, supported, and empowered.

Because of your service and commitment, our chapter has expanded opportunities throughout the community while creating a place that many sorors proudly call home. 🩷💚

As we celebrate this milestone, we honor our rich history, embrace the present, and look forward to a future filled with continued innovation, growth, harmony, and impact. 💗💚 Closing Out the CHIPP Season with Gratitude and Service 💚💗

As we conclude another successful CHIPP season, the members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® – Chi Omega Omega Chapter proudly reflect on four years of dedicated service at Parker Community Academy.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our CHIPP Champions who served at our final distribution on June 4, 2026; Adrienne Garner, Arielle Ashley Thompson, Doncella Pamon, Jacqueline Reynolds, Chairman, Michelle Cunningham, and Co-Chairman, Nicole Miner. Your commitment, compassion, and consistency have made a lasting impact on the students, families, and community we have been privileged to serve.

A sincere thank you to all chapter members who have volunteered and supported this initiative over the past four years. Your dedication exemplifies our commitment to service and sisterhood, and your efforts have helped make this project a tremendous success.

We also offer special recognition to our current President, Tammar R. Wofford, and Vice President, Ericka Lynn Whitehead, for their exceptional leadership and unwavering support throughout this impactful journey. We likewise recognize our former President and Vice President, Tasha Smith and Eugenia Resse, respectively, for their leadership and contributions to the success of this initiative.

What a powerful way to close out Mental Health Awareness Month and kick off Black Dollar Days!

Our Mind & Money book discussion at Da Book Joint on Saturday, May 30, 2026 brought together community members for meaningful conversations about mental wellness, financial empowerment, and building generational wealth through our discussion of Get Good with Money by Tiffany Aliche.

Thank you to lead organizer Michelle Morrow, facilitators Laurie Williams and Requeal Gibson, and all of the leaders, partners, and participants who made this collaboration such a success.

As many shared, these are the conversations we need to be having. Together, we learned, connected, reflected, and grew while supporting a dynamic Black woman-owned business. Here's to continuing the conversation around mental and financial wellness in our community.

Your presence reflected a beautiful outpouring of sisterly love and faith as we praised a God who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we could ever ask, think, or imagine.

On Sunday, May 24, 2026, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® – Chi Omega Omega Chapter proudly welcomed 41 exceptional women into our illustrious sisterhood.

Representing a diverse group of professionals—including educators, CEOs, law enforcement agents, attorneys, and many others, these new members embody excellence, leadership, and a commitment to service. Together, we continue to strengthen our bond as we uphold our mission of service to all mankind.

A heartfelt thank you to Membership Chairman Dr. Latanisha Williams Smith, Co-Chairmen Suheily Natal Davis and Rachel Washington, and the many chapter members who worked tirelessly to make this occasion a success.
